Rolling numbers is a high-octane, call-and-response times tables chant that gets everyone excited and passionate about numbers, and offers an alternative way for children to recall their times tables. Watch this collection of short video resources in the classroom or at home as many times as you wish to help your children get number confident and learn their times tables.
Rocking and Rolling Numbers is brought to you by the awesome team behind Times Tables Rock Stars, an award-winning online learning platform that is boosting fluency and recall in multiplication and division for millions of children worldwide.
We, along with thousands of school children and home learners, set a Guinness World Records title for the “Most viewers of a rolling numbers live stream on YouTube” back on 18th May 2022 for National Numeracy Day! Watch the live event here.
Led by Katya Jones and Bobby Seagull, ambassadors for the charity National Numeracy live from King Solomon Primary Academy, thousands of children from all across the UK joined us to rock and roll their five times table – chosen specifically for National Numeracy Day’s fifth birthday! We were joined by Nadhim Zahawi, the Secretary of State for Education at that time, who delivered the children a positive message – “Numbers are for everybody, take part, you are on a roll and you are rock stars!”
The minimum requirement set by Guinness World Records was 1,500 views, which was completely torn to shreds by children at school and at home. With peak viewing figures of a mind-boggling 5,494, the Guinness World Records representative awarded us with an official certificate!
